The making of the video…

April 30, 2013

It was April 22, 2013 ( Thursday ) when the subject Cultural Education 207: Media-Based Cultural Documentation started under the tutelage of Mr. Januar Yap as our professor for the entire week of April 22-27, 2013. After series of discussion and presentation of concepts and skills we were given the task to produce a film/video on cultural elements/ icons which we are supposed to document. We worked on the given task by groups, for which we immediately made some brainstorming as how to go about the given task. Made some series of scripts until we come up with the final script then started to go Sto. Niño Basilica the location for our documentary, took pictures, video, interviews, voice recording and shooting as the same time. Gathered the raw materials forwarded them to the editors for final editing of videos and photos for slideshow. The activities were exhausting, brainstorming was draining, discussion was stressing, group pressures were irritating, comments were disappointing and all other interactions encountered. But when the task was done and the final material was shown, everybody was overwhelmed to know that we were able to come up such output ( film/video ) considering we are all neophyte in that field. Effort exerted was worth the learning experiences we experienced as we go through the process of making the film/video. Kudos! the professor deserves the credit for this…Sir Januar Yap thank you very much!
